Getting into this one might be a stretch but if you see this email in time, I think it is worth a shot. Cogniti is an AI chatbot agent creation tool developed by my Uni of Sydney colleagues and it is getting great buzz. This mini-symposium feature 30 brief presentations outline the experiences of educators and third space practitioners with this platform.

I’ve been diving into the latest version of Moodle in the course of setting up the site for our upcoming Third Space Symposium. I must admit that we haven’t enabled the AI functionality but I guess it was inevitable and this post offers some insights into what this offers. Nice to see that AI generated content is at least consistently flagged as such.

Just released! Seven Videos on the Effective Use of Video from Online Learning and Distance Education Resources

For the dominance that video has in the online space, it is still often done relatively poorly. This handy set of recordings from Tony Bates offers an overview of general principles, dives into some specific examples for humanities, chemistry, anatomy, mathematics, environmental sciences, biology and nursing, and then spends some time discussing the decisions made by the educators who created the discipline focused content.
